‘Twin Peaks’ Season 3 Trailer Released By Showtime [VIDEO]

A new Twin Peaks trailer was released recently as the premiere of Season 3 approaches.

Only 8 days are left until the new season will air on Showtime. The show is returning after 25 years, marking the longest hiatus in television history.

The new trailer features exclusive footage from the show. We see familiar stars in the show like David Lynch, Kyle MacLachlan, the late Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz and Mädchen Amick. True to the Twin Peaks‘ surreal nature, the trailer does not reveal much in the terms of plot, but does peak interest in the characters. Many new roles are introduced, such as those played by Ben Rosenfield, Madeline Zima, Melissa Bailey, Kathleen Deming, Gia Carides, Jessica Szohr, and Nicole LaLiberte.

Lynch’s iconic TV series first premiered on April, 1990. Twin Peaks blended the genres of noir, soap opera, and Americana in an unforgettable and unique way. The announcement of a new season gives hope to fans that the magic and mystery of Twin Peaks will continue the same as before.

Season 3 premiers on May 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
