In an attack on NBC, its parent company Comcast, and their popular late-night host, President-elect Donald Trump has declared person Seth Meyers to be “dumb and untalented.”
In a lengthy tirade to TruthSocial at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Trump wrote, “How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC, a ‘network’ run by a truly bad group of people.” He continued that “Marble Mouth Meyers” is “merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast.”
“These are not shows or entertainment, they are simply political hits 100% of the time, to me and the Republican Party. Comcast should pay a BIG price for this.”
Trump’s verbal onslaught was posted following his sentencing for his hush-money case.
Although Trump was found guilty, Judge Juan Merchan, who presided over the case, sentenced Trump to an unconditional discharge, saying the legal protections afforded to the office of the president were “extraordinary,” and overrode all other factors in the case. Trump’s sentencing makes him the first U.S. president to take office with a felony criminal conviction.
Following Trump’s sentencing, Meyers blasted the president-elect in his late-night show on Monday, saying, “It’s always so weird to hear reporters read Trump’s remarks…it’s like listening to a tourist read a menu in a language they don’t speak.”
Meyers also explained that little can be assumed about what is to come in Trump’s second term, “given that he has no fixed principles or core beliefs or coherent ideas or constructive solutions or plans or proposals or policies or values or thoughts of any kind.”
