Trump Goes On Bizarre Rant Blaming Windmills For Whale Deaths In Speech, Sparking Online Ridicule

Former President Donald Trump raged about windmills being responsible for the death of whales in a head-scratching South Carolina campaign speech.

The Republican presidential candidate said that ocean-based windmills are driving whales crazy and are the main reason why many of them wash up ashore on the Carolina coast.

“Windmills are causing whales to die in numbers never seen before. Nobody does anything about that,” he said. “They’re driving the whales, I think, a little batty.”

Although concerns have been raised about the effects offshore windmill has on marine life, many environmental and fishing groups have said there is no link between the two.

Experts say most whale deaths are caused by being hit by passing ship traffic.
