Trump Earned $2 Million From Moonies For Speeches, Total Of $12 Million Speaking Fees Since Leaving Office
According to a now-public financial disclosure filing from Donald Trump, the former president earned more than $13 million from golf and overseas resort business ventures and $12 million in payments from speeches since leaving office.
He made between $150,000 and $2.5 million for each speaking event, including his American Freedom Tour that took place in Texas and Florida. He also earned about $2 million from two speaking engagements hosted by the Universal Peace Federation, an organization within Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han’s controversial Unification Church, known commonly as “the Moonies.” The church has been labeled by critics as a “dangerous cult.”
Trump’s finances also involve hotel revenue from his golf courses in Ireland, Charlotte and New York, where he earned $6.2 million, $31 million and $19.4 million, respectively.
The U.S. Office of Government Ethics, which made this information public, provided evidence that he has earned much more than his closest Republican competitor, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who made over $1.1 million, mostly from presales of his new book, The Courage to Be Free.
Trump’s assets are estimated to be worth at least $1.5 billion. These include his real estate businesses, licensing agreements and golf courses.

Among these licensing earnings include “DT Marks Oman LLC,” which is a deal between the Trump Organization and a Saudi real estate company to build a Trump hotel and golf course in Oman.
Meanwhile, Melania Trump made more than $1.2 million in speaking fees for organizations such as the Trump-supporting super PAC Make America Great Again, Again.
