Trump Calls Manhattan DA ‘Fat Alvin’ & President ‘Crooked Joe’ At Jersey Shore Rally Of 100,000
On Saturday, former President Donald Trump insulted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Judge Juan Merchan and President Joe Biden at a rally of an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 people on the Jersey Shore.
The comments were made during the fourth week of Trump’s hush money trial, where he faces 34 felony counts of fabricating business records to cover up payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels that would have prevented her from disclosing details about her affair with Trump.
At his rally, Trump described Merchan, the judge overseeing the case, to be “highly conflicted” and “corrupt” and called Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney prosecuting him, “fat Alvin.”
Merchan issued a gag order on March 26 to bar Trump from speaking about witnesses, prosecutors and jurors on the court staff. Recently, Trump was charged with violating his gag order for the 10th time for verbally attacking the jury in his trial. However, the gag order does not prohibit Trump from criticizing Bragg or Merchan.
“They’re doing the bidding for crooked Joe Biden,” Trump said in front of thousands of his supporters, referring to Merchan and Bragg. He claimed that Biden was using the criminal justice system against him for political motives. There is no evidence to support any of these claims.
In the same rally, Trump also praised serial killer Hannibal Lecter, calling him a “wonderful man” while comparing Lecter to migrants who Trump claims are “destroying” the country.
“We have people that have been released into our country that we don’t want in our country, and they’re coming in totally unchecked, totally unvetted,” Trump said. “And we can’t let this happen. They’re destroying our country, and we’re sitting back, and we better damn well win this election because if we don’t, our country is going to be doomed. It’s going to be doomed.”
Since 1988, New Jersey has not voted for a Republican candidate, but Trump is confident that his election will change that.
“We’re going to win the state of New Jersey,” Trump said.
