President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign poked fun at Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, who identified the current president as Barack Obama during an interview this week.
Trump appeared on the Fox News Radio program, The Brian Kilmeade Show, where he confused the names of the current and former Democratic presidents.
“It’s all coming through Iran, and Obama doesn’t want to talk about it,” Trump told host Brian Kilmeade. “He doesn’t even mention them in his statements. It’s all coming through Iran.”
Kilmeade attempted to correct Trump, asking if he was talking about President Biden. Trump refused to admit his mistake.
“You know, Obama and Biden. But Obama is Biden’s boss. Guess you didn’t really know that.”
The Biden-Harris HQ X account, formerly Twitter, was quick to repost the clip from the interview.
“Trump once again confuses who is currently President, forcing Kilmeade to correct him.”
This is not the first time that Trump has mixed up his political opponents. While speaking in Iowa a few weeks ago, he insisted he beat Obama in a presidential election.
Trump has repeatedly tried to make Biden’s “cognitive decline” an issue in the race.
