Trump Booed At Sneaker Con Launching $400 ‘Trump Sneakers’ Day After Receing $355 Million Fine
On Saturday, former President Donald Trump appeared at Sneaker Con, a convention dedicated to shoes in Philadelphia.
At the convention, Trump revealed his latest launch, gold high-top sneakers. Priced at $399, the sneakers are the first official Trump footwear under the name “Never Surrender High-Tops.” The sneakers are sold on a website with other Trump-related items, including a $99 cologne and perfume called “Victory47.”
As Trump spoke, audience members could be heard loudly booing him, mixed with applause, from the young crowd. Convention attendees were unaware that Trump would be in attendance.
The announcement came after Trump and his company were ordered to pay $355 million in civil business fraud damages.
The brand-new sneakers are considered limited edition with only 1,000 pairs available for sale. In the past, Trump has mentioned wanting to push out other items under his name including vodka and steaks. He currently also produces and sells wine from his Virginia vineyard.
