Troian Bellisario, the former Pretty Little Liars star, is starring alongside Tom Felton in Feed, a new drama, that was released on July 18.
Written by Bellisario herself, the film is based on her personal battle with anorexia nervosa. The 31-year old actress began self-harming when she was in high school. In an interview, she described that she felt pressured to be the “perfect” student and child.
The drama follows two inseparable twins who encounter a tragedy that forever changes their lives. Without her brother Matthew (Felton), high school senior Olivia (Bellisario) begins to struggle with an eating disorder.
Bellisario wanted the audience to better understand what people that have the illness go through on a daily basis. The Instagram page for Feed has provided a clip of and link to the official trailer.
