R&B and hip-hop star Trey Songz took to Twitter Wednesday to deny the allegations that he came out as gay, and admonish the people who’ll believe everything they read.
The rumors began on Tuesday after a screengrab of a Twitter post showed Trey Songz opening up about his sexuality. “I think it’s time to finally tell my fans,” the post read. “All games and jokes aside… I’m Gay.”
In response, Trey Songz indicated he was incredulous that his fans and followers were so quick to believe what they read and suggested that the screenshot was photoshopped.
Ending his shutdown with a bit of humor, Trey Songz made a crack that if he were gay, then Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. had resurrected.
Trey Songz isn’t currently publicly dating anyone, although he has been linked in the past to model Tanaya Henry.
