Since taking over the Daily Show spot, Trevor Noah has been hinting at adding more music to the show. He has already had more musicians share the stage with him since taking over.
On Monday night Noah premiered the remastered track of “Dog On Fire” to his viewers. The remixed sound is faster and has more of a rock edge compared to the traditional version. The track was produced by Timbaland and King Logan and was mixed by Chris Godbey.
The song was was written and performed by Bob Mould (Husker Du, Sugar) for original host Craig Kilborn and then was re-recorded by the band They Might Be Giants shortly after Jon Stewart began his reign in 1999. The song has not been changed since the first airing of the show in 1996.
