Astroworld tickets went May 5. Fans should plan to buy their tickets as soon as they can as prices will rise as the festival gets closer and the festival has sold out before the lineup was announced past years. The festival lineup has not yet been confirmed, but Scott is set to headline the event. Past festival lineups included artists like Post Malone, Pharrell Williams, Da Baby, Lil Wayne, Playboi Carti and Megan Thee Stallion.

In 2019, Astroworld became the largest music festival in Houston and the largest single-day artist-curated festival in the United States, according to a press release.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go towards Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation, which helps “empower and enrich the lives of youth by providing access to education and creative resources to ensure long-term success.”

The 2021 festival’s theme is “Open Your Eyes To A Whole New Universe,” which is evident in the new promo image, shared by Scott on Instagram. The image shows an electrified eyeball watching a rollercoaster get sucked into a black hole. The festival is held across the street from the now-defunct AstroWorld, an amusement park from Scott’s childhood. Every year, the festival aims to bring some of that amusement park feeling back to the area with its theming, even bringing in rides.
