Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said he agrees that the NFL’s coverage of his romance with Taylor Swift is excessive.
In the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, the two discussed the NFL’s excessive Swift coverage.
“Let’s get to it. Is the NFL overdoing it? What’s your honest opinion? Take away your feelings for Taylor,” Jason asked Travis.
“I think it’s fun when they show who was at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time I think —.” Travis said.
Jason then interjected, asking Travis if “they’re overdoing it.”
“They’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation. I think they’re just trying to have fun with it,” Travis said. “Basketball has it figured out. They show them once or twice, but then they get back to the game. NFL is like, ‘Oh my God, look at all these A-list celebrities at the game. Keep showing them, show ’em, show ’em.’ You show them once, let them know they’re there, and after touchdowns you get a little clip, but it can’t be overboard with it. People are there to watch the game, right?”
Swift attended the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets.
At the game, she was seen with many celebrities, such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner among others. She was previously seen attending a September game at Arrowhead Stadium that gained significant media attention.
