The trailer for the new Total Recall, a remake of the hit sci-fi flick from 1990 that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone, has been released, and the new Len Wiseman-helmed (from the Underworld franchise) film, starring — this time around — Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, and Bill Nighy, looks even more action-packed than its predecessor.

The futuristic flick, which intentionally blurs the line between reality and virtual reality by taking bewildered hero Doug Quaid's (Farrell's, formerly Schwarzenegger's) point of view, portrays a fight for world domination by superpowers Euroamerica (the U.S. and European Union, combined) and New Shanghai (currently China and Southeast Asia) in the year 2084, when the world has become a dystopian wasteland.

Farrell-as-Quaid begins to doubt his own identity when he discovers that he may be a spy in the war effort. The problem is, considering his memories have been erased and replaced with fabricated ones, he doesn't know which side he's on. Solution? Take advantage of one's super-soldier training, of course, and kick some serious butt.
