The latest reboot of a television series to come to the theaters pairs Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum together as two baby-faced undercover cops headquartered at — you guessed it — 21 Jump Street.
The silver screen adaptation of the popular '80s FOX show that starred a young and relatively green Johnny Depp won't be reprising the old characters, instead having Hill and Tatum's characters — old high school friends themselves — join the resurrected undercover unit of cops and infiltrate a drug ring at a local high school. So that part is still familiar. As are the number of nods and homages you'll find to the original show.
Of course Depp will make a cameo, though the big star's appearance didn't make the cut into the trailer. You can also see such familiar faces as Rob Riggle, Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation), Ice Cube, and Dave Franco in the new film.
