On Tuesday night, the former Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. The actress was paired with pro partner Pasha Pashkov.
On the following misSPELLING podcast episode on Wednesday, Spelling said, “I really didn’t have a gut instinct that we would be voted off. Listen, I’m a realist. I came into this with no dance experience, and I didn’t expect to win a Mirror Ball.”
Also present on the podcast episode was Spelling’s manager, Ruthanne Secunda, who expressed her opinion on the elimination: “I think it’s an outrage.”
Secunda went on to joke that she would be “calling 60 Minutes to do an investigation” as there must be a “glitch in the system,” and asserted, “If airlines can be grounded from a glitch, there could have totally been a glitch in the voting for Tori, so I’m suspicious.”
Secunda pointed out that while she thought the Olympians and athletes performed very well on the show, they had the advantage because they were “used to performing in front of millions of people.”
Actors, like Spelling, are typically expected to have experience performing in front of large audiences, so it’s odd that Secunda would choose this as her defense point for Spelling.
Spelling shared with Secunda, “What an unbelievable experience. This is all such a new territory for me, and I had such an incredible experience… There’s so many things dancing through my head right now, you guys, so many thoughts, so many feelings. I guess the big word is just gratitude. Honestly, I loved every second of this experience; I’m not gonna lie.”
Spelling faced criticism from online trolls for her gaunt appearance on the show.
