On Monday, actress Tori Spelling was seen with her estranged husband, Dean McDermott, and one of their sons, at a Labor Day carnival at Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills, California.

The sighting comes after Spelling filed for divorce on March 29, citing “irreconcilable differences,” just over nine months after their separation in June 2023. The pair had been married for 18 years.

Spelling, 51, sported a casual look with her blonde hair tied back in a ponytail. She wore a white T-shirt paired with gray cargo jeans. McDermott opted for a black T-shirt and black-framed glasses while he accompanied Spelling at the event.

McDermott has firmly maintained to the public that there is no “bad blood” between himself and Spelling and asked for joint legal and physical custody of their children. In her legal filings, Spelling requested sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their children, as well as spousal support and reimbursement for legal fees. Spelling and McDermott share five children: Liam Aaron, 17, Stella Doreen, 16, Hattie Margaret, 12, Finn Davey, 12, and Beau Dean, 7. McDermott also has a son, Jack, 25, from a previous marriage to Mary Jo Eustace.

In an April episode of Spelling’s podcast MisSPELLING, she recalled the explosive fight she and McDermott had that led to their split.

She claimed McDermott said something that “He knew would really be hurtful to hear,” and in response, “This guttural scream came out of me…It was beast-like. It wasn’t pretty at all.”

She recalled, “I smashed my baked potato across the kitchen with inhuman strength,” then locked herself in their bedroom while McDermott was “banging on the door.” He eventually found a way in through an unlocked outdoor entrance and allegedly told Spelling, ”‘I want a divorce. This is over.” Spelling remembered, “And I said, ‘OK. Great. OK.’”

The couple’s relationship has been chronicled on reality shows like Tori & Dean: Inn Love and Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
