Top Movies To Look Forward To At The Toronto International Film Festival

The Toronto International Film Festival will run this year from Sept. 7-17.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL LINEUP

Margot RobbieAngelina JolieJennifer Lawrence, and Idris Elba will appear in movies, as well as Lady Gaga in her first picture at the festival. Robbie will star as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, about the Olympic skater’s attempt to take over rival Nancy Kerrigan. Jolie is making her fourth directorial debut with First They Killed My Father, while Lawrence will appear in Mother! Elba and Kate Winslet play a duo struggling to survive after a plane crash. And Gaga stars in her own documentary Five Foot Two.

While the festival has not released the names of all the productions that will be screened, they announced a slew of films and presentations already. Emma Stone and Steve Carell will star in Battle of the Sexes story as Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs about their famed tennis match. Frances McDormand will star alongside Woody Harrelson in a murder mystery in Three Billboards in Ebbing, Missouri.

New films by directors Guillermo del ToroGeorge ClooneyTerrence MalickDarren AronofskyAlexander PayneDee ReesHaifaa Al-MansourAndy Serkis, and first timer Greta Gerwig.

The closing night of the festival will bring C’est la Vie!, the Oliver Nakache and Eric Toledano film starring Gilles LelloucheSuzanne ClémentEye Haïdara, and Jean-Pierre Bacri.
