While others may have been shocked by news of Eva Longoria's filing for divorce from Tony Parker, her soon-to-be ex-husband was not one of them.
"Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately," Parker, 28, said in a statement to People. "I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles." The couple cited irreconcilable differences when filing, and speculation is rife that Longoria's walk-out results from discovering hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker's phone.
The basketball player also wanted to refute allegations that he filed for divorce before Longoria did. "I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California," he said. "We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private." Longoria, 35, also had something to say about the situation. "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce," she tweeted.
