Tony Lara, one of the stars of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch, died in his sleep over the weekend. He was 50.
Lara was found dead at a private residence in Sturgis, S.D., Saturday morning, reported TMZ. At this point, the cause of Lara’s sudden death has not been determined. Autopsy results are pending.
The Deadliest Catch confirmed Lara’s death on Sunday via Twitter, writing, “Yesterday we lost a member of the Catch Family. May you RIP Captain Tony Lara!”
