Legendary crooner Stevie Wonder married his long-time girlfriend and mother of two of his children, Tomeeka Robyn Bracy.
The wedding was attended by several big names in the music industry, several of which performed for the newly wed couple. Babyface, Pharrell Williams, and Usher all reportedly serenaded Wonder and Bracy before Wonder himself took to the stage to sing to his new wife.
Wonder, 67, and Bracy, 42, had reportedly been dating for several years prior to their wedding at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Little else about the ceremony is known – WOGL, a local CBS affiliate, reported that attendees of the wedding, including family, were forced to sign a confidentiality agreement, promising not to speak to the press about proceedings. There is a $1 million penalty for breaking the agreement.
In 2014, Bracy gave birth to a baby girl. The girl, Nia, is the second of two children the couple have together and the ninth child Wonder is father to.
Wonder has been married twice before his marriage with Bracy. The “Superstitious” singer was married to fellow musician and frequent collaborator Syreeta Wright from 1970 to 1972 and to Kai Millard from 2001 until their divorce in 2012.
The 25-time Grammy winner’s other seven children, of whom he fathered with four different women, range from ages 42 to 12.
His eldest, Aisha Morris, is a singer herself and is said to be the inspiration behind Wonder’s hit “Isn’t She Lovely.” At the beginning of the track, a baby can be heard crying and Aisha’s voice as a baby is part of the song’s outro.
All of Wonder’s children were part of the ceremony over the weekend. It had previously been reported that his children would all be either bridesmaids or groomsmen.
