Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval recreated pop singer Christina Aguilera‘s nude 2002 Rolling Stone cover. Sandoval posed for a fake magazine titled Anima Reloaded for designer Michael Ngo.
Sandoval’s photoshoot shows the reality star shirtless on top of a red backdrop, wearing black leather pants and boots while holding an electric guitar. His makeup consisted of a black smokey eye and slicked hair. The singer was completely nude in Aguilera’s cover and wore only black boots.
In other photos from the same shoot, Sandoval was photographed wearing a silver chain, leather gloves, a studded black jacket and bedazzled boxers with Ngo’s label.
Sandoval’s photoshoot was met with a mix of support and criticism.
“This is so embarrassing for every party involved,” one user commented.
“Unfortunately for Tom, he will never be the star he thinks he is,” another said.
Sandoval also received praise from some fans.
“Ok way cooler than what Ariana is doing,” a fan wrote in all caps.
Ariana refers to Ariana Madix, Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend whom he cheated on with costar Rachel Leviss during filming of Vanderpump Rules. The incident was dubbed “Scandoval,” a combination of Sandoval’s name and “scandal.” Sandoval and Leviss later split after the affair.
At the start of March, Leviss sued Sandoval and Madix for revenge porn, claiming Sandoval obtained explicit footage of her without her consent.
