James Corden
The Late Late Show with James Corden as host will premiere with A-list actors Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis as guests.
The Late Late Show guest list is equally impressive as it continues its first week with Corden at the helm, as his Into the Woods costar and Star Trek leading man Chris Pine will be a guest on night two. Get Hard stars Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart will come by for the third night, concluding the first week, which will run from Monday, March 23 through Wednesday, March 25. Musical guests for the first week include Modest Mouse and Kings of Leon.
Corden’s version of The Late Late Show will take a cue from The Graham Norton Show, with all of the night’s guests coming out at the same time for a more conversational feel.
“We’ve been surprised by how much people have embraced it,” showrunner Ben Winston told The Hollywood Reporter. “The biggest names in Hollywood from Will Ferrell to Tom Hanks to David Beckham have all gone, ‘We’re up for it. We think it’s refreshing and exciting.'”
“You only need to listen to Matt Damon on Graham Norton saying, ‘This is the most fun I’ve ever had on a talk show,'” said Winston, explaining a strategy to get some wary publicists onboard.
Those who’ve already agreed to appear on this new Late Late Show include Claire Danes, Mark Harmon, Katharine McPhee, Jon Cryer, Matthew Perry, Thomas Lennon, Simon Cowell, David Beckham, Rob Corddry, Courteney Cox, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Megan Mullally, Matthew Perry, Tig Notaro, Freida Pinto, Gordon Ramsay, Aubrey Plaza and Kerry Washington.
