Carly Rae Jepsen’s new video for her single “I Really Like You” starring Tom Hanks is an instant hit, with over 4 million views on YouTube in 3 days.

“I Really Like You” Music Video

Jepsen, known for her endlessly catchy hit “Call Me Maybe,” is back with a new, equally catchy single, “I Really Like You.” And, while the song itself has received rave reviews, it’s the video that has everybody talking, mostly due to its star: American treasure Tom Hanks.

The video shows Hanks lip-syncing to the song from the minute he wakes up until he’s dancing the night away with Jepsen and a flash mob that includes Justin Bieber. Throughout the video are fun little gags, including a few women swiping right on Hanks’ Tinder profile and a sneaky Forrest Gump reference.

Hanks and Jepsen may seem like an odd pairing, but Hanks is actually good friends with Jepsen’s manager, Scooter Braun, who also manages Bieber. Jepsen and Hanks met at Braun’s wedding and Hanks volunteered to star in the “I Really Like You” music video during a dinner with Braun. “Scooter was telling the story [of the video] to Tom over dinner, and Tom apparently said, ‘Why not me? Why didn’t you ask me?’” Jepsen told Access Hollywood.

The fun single is the first off of Jepsen’s upcoming third album. Though the album has yet to find a title and release date, Jepsen is excited to share her new music and has been working with a new handful of songwriters and producers, including Tegan and Sara, Jack Antonoff and producers Dev Hynes and Ariel Rechtshaid.
