A Tom Cruise fan took to Twitter to accuse the actor of wearing a butt prosthetic in the film Valkyrie.
The tweet, which was posted on Aug. 20, has amassed more than 17,500 retweets and 67,000 likes, going viral in the process. User @iluvbutts247 posted a photo of Cruise’s backside in the film with the caption, “hello, please, i present the theory that for one single shot in Valkyrie (2008), at 5:12, tom cruise wears a fake butt.”
Cruise was finally asked about the scene in a sit-down interview with ScreenRant to promote his new film American Made. “I have no idea,” he said of the scene. “There was no prosthetic in Valkyrie. No. It’s me. It’s not CGI, it’s me. I do my own mooning in films. So let it be known – I do my own mooning.”
American Made hits theaters today, September 29. See the trailer below.
