Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have been filming the next film in the Mission: Impossible series, but due to a conflict for a former crew member of the eighth installment, both men have strengthened their security teams while finishing production.
An anonymous source claimed to The Sun that “things have got increasingly unpleasant with a former crew member and now it’s a case of taking no chances.”
The staffer was reportedly a stunt producer who was tasked with selecting locations for certain set pieces in the movie. One scene was meant to be a train crash, but his work ended up not being used in the movie which may be what angered him.
He reportedly opened up a legal complaint against the film which names Cruise, McQuarrie and Paramount Studios. The producer also claimed that these action films are being financed by Russian oligarchs.
Here’s an incredible teaser for the films, which will be released in two parts, first shown at CinemaCon.
