Tom Cruise & Annabelle Wallis Film ‘The Mummy’

Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis were photographed on the set of The Mummy in Oxford, England, Wednesday for their first day of filming.

Cruise, 53, and Wallis, 31, were shooting scenes for the Mummy reboot at night on a cobblestone street when cameras snapped the two. In the shots from the day on set, both Cruise and Wallis appear worried and tired, looking off into the distance.

Wallis, who is currently dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, took to Twitter to celebrate the start of filming. “Day 1 #TheMummy! So excited to delve into the eerily delightful world of monsters,” she wrote. “@TomCruise @sofisia @MrJakeJohnson @UniversalPics #letsgo.”

In The Mummy, which is set in the modern day, Cruise plays Navy Seal Tyler Colt. Tyler is sent on a mission to find a group of terrorists in the Iraqi desert, and ends up stumbling upon undead grave robbers in the bunker-turned-tomb instead. Somehow, Tyler is the only Seal to make it through to the tomb’s inner sanctum, where he is cursed by the titular mummy, played by Sofia Boutella.

The Mummy is slated to hit theaters June 9, 2017.
