NFL star Tom Brady will spend Thanksgiving this year working while his children are with his pregnant ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen.
Bundchen and Brady share their son Benjamin and daughter Vivian. The couple was married from 2009 to 2022.
Bundchen’s pregnancy with her partner Joaquim Valente was revealed in late October, which prompted Brady to post a cryptic message on Instagram in the form of a Fleetwood Mac quote, “Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?” accompanied by a picture of a setting sun.
Brady is in the first year of his $375 million, 10-year deal with Fox as an analyst.
In a recent postgame show with Curt Menefee, the Fox host revealed to the seven-time Super Bowl-winner that Brady’s holidays were officially not his own anymore.
Menefee crowed, “He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving this year!”
Brady seemingly feigned shocked indignance, “What!?”
Brady’s performance as an analyst has not been met with enthusiasm from fans and haters alike, as he came under fire from the very first week when fans criticized his tone and style.
Brady made himself even more unpopular by regularly violating rules specifically made to allow him to broadcast, despite his minor ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Among other conditions and restrictions, Brady is not allowed to criticize refereeing decisions. He broke this stipulation live on Fox a week after it was issued when he disagreed with the referee’s call to eject Brian Branch from the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.
However, Brady was not reprimanded or punished for his comments.
