Tom Brady Honors Ex-Wife Gisele Bündchen On Mother’s Day After Upsetting Her With Roast Jokes

Retired football icon Tom Brady included ex-wife Gisele Bündchen in an Instagram post on Mother’s Day. In a carousel of images, Brady uploaded photos of his mother and three sisters with his children.

“Happy Mother’s Day to these kind, caring, compassionate and POWERFUL moms that I’m lucky to have in my life. None of this would be possible without your love,” Brady captioned the post. 

The NFL star also featured ex-partner Bridget Moynahan, the mother of his 16-year-old son Jack. The last photo in the carousel showed Bündchen on horseback at sunset with her two children. 

Bündchen was the subject of several jokes against her ex-husband in the Netflix special The Roast of Tom Brady. Comedians Kevin Hart and Nikki Glaser threw jabs at Brady’s marriage and divorce from Bündchen.

“You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,” Glaser said, referring to Brady’s Super Bowl rings.

Bündchen entered a relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, which Hart used in a joke. “How did you not see this coming? Eight f—— karate classes a day, and she’s still a white belt!”

After the Netflix special went live, tabloids reported that Bündchen felt “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family.”

“This past week, Gisele has been tirelessly dedicated to aiding those in need in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is grappling with the worst flooding in its history. She was concerned about a family affected by the devastating floods, so to hear her life being joked about was very disappointing,” a source told People.

Brady’s post was compared to actor Chris Pratt‘s Mother’s Day post. Pratt thanked his mother and wife on social media but excluded ex-wife Anna Faris, with whom Pratt shares a son.
