Todrick Hall Blasted For Tough Tactics In ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Loss

After facing harsh criticism from the Celebrity Big Brother jury and earning only one vote in the final vote for the winner, singer and choreographer Todrick Hall canceled his interviews after being “shaken” by the events of the live finale.

Hall, 36, finished second after receiving only one vote from the show’s third-place runner-up, the model and reality star Cynthia Bailey. Hall was up for the win against his closest ally in the house, MMA fighter Miesha Tate.

Tate, Bailey, and winner of America’s Favorite Houseguest Carson Kressley have sat down for interviews with several publications following the finale, but Hall has declined to do the same after some former houseguests and fans of the show had harsh words for his strategy in the show’s third season.

Tate and Hall played a no-holds-barred game to get to their positions at the top, even evicting former alliance members and tricking others to gain their votes. However, those strategies worked against Hall during the jury when houseguests, incensed by the betrayal and by learning more details of what he said in footage from the show, lambasted him heavily.

One former housemate, Shanna Moakler, told Hall while she was casting her vote against him “The one thing that this vote ensures is that I will not ever have to hear your voice.” Chris Kirkpatrick also had words for Hall after the two bickered frequently in the house, with Hall once saying Kirkpatrick’s son would be embarrassed by him.

“I came into this house and tried to leave with integrity, so this is for my son,” Kirkpatrick said pointedly as he cast his vote. Kirkpatrick, Moakler, and Teddi Mellencamp did not even rise from their seats when the host Julie Chen called for Hall to be congratulated when the winner was declared.

Tate defended Hall and told Entertainment Weekly that seeing her close ally be blindsided by the aggressive jury “took away some of the excitement of me winning. Because as a mother, when you care about someone, you cannot just celebrate when you think someone else is in a bad position.” It seems that Hall’s aggressive play certainly ruffled the feathers of the cast and gives a good reason as to why he didn’t collect their votes.
