Today is April 20, but to many it is the unofficial weed-themed holiday “420”.
The celebratory day of marijuana all started when California high schools would use the code “420” to plan to meet up at 4:20 pm to smoke with friends, because it was the perfect window of opportunity where they were out of school but their parents weren’t home from work. Over the years, that time translated over to April 20, and people have been embracing the cannabis-filled day ever since.
Many celebrities have become very open about their approval of the drug and their smoking habits, they even shared celebratory tweets with fans.
