Country singer Toby Keith will perform a men-only concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Donald Trump‘s first overseas visit.
The concert, advertised by Saudi entertainment website Lammt, will be free and only open to men. It will also feature an Arabian lute player. Keith has never performed in Saudi Arabia before and will be the first non-Arabic artist to perform in the country.
For his part, Keith has not been promoting this concert and the show is not listed on his 2017 tour dates. The artist also performed at Trump’s inauguration in January on the National Mall. “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” he said at the time. “I performed at events for previous presidents [George W.] Bush and [Barack] Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO.”
Keith was born in Oklahoma and released his debut album in 1993. He is known for such hits as “Red Solo Cup” and “I Wanna Talk About Me.” One of his most popular songs came out following the September 11th attacks, called “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (Angry American),” which he often still uses to close out his concerts.
Trump’s first overseas trip will include stops in Jerusalem, Rome, Brussels and Sicily. He leaves Friday.
