Abby Hensel, one of a set of conjoined twins, got married to United States veteran and nurse Josh Bowling.
The couple stood at the altar in a beautiful wedding dress and a grey suit alongside Abby’s sister Brittany Hensel. The sisters are dicephalus conjoined twins which is a rare condition that is characterized by having two heads on one torso.
The couple appears in their profile picture holding hands in their wedding garb.
They tied the knot in 2021, but are now fifth-grade teachers back in Minnesota, where the twins grew up.
A little background information can be found about Bowling from his Facebook bio which reads “Christian, Father, Husband, Veteran, and occasional gamer.”
The girls were the subjects of an eight-part series on TLC in which they stated, “People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons.” However, they stated that their parents were very supportive and loving saying, “our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.”
At birth, doctors said that they could perform surgery to remove the twins from each other, but their parents decided against it as it was highly unlikely that both girls would survive the procedure.
American Horror Story recruited sets of conjoined twins to be a part of their latest season.
