Last week, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical officially opened its door for public at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, in New York City.

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and portrays the life of the legendary singer, as you would expect, Tina Turner.
The 79-year-old Turner, who was wearing a long-sleeve gold glittery gown, surprised the audience after the show, as she joined the members of the musical’s creative team and its hard-working cast on the stage and gave a heartfelt speech.
“This musical is my life but it’s like a poison that turned to medicine,” said Turner, “I can never be as happy as I am now.”
The audience itself was start-studded including, Oprah Winfrey, Tiffany Haddish, Spike Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Martha Stewart and more.
