Tina Fey in Dion Lee at 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' premiere
Tina Fey hit the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Whiskey Tango Foxtrot in a dark magenta dress.
Fey brought the color to the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot premiere, donning a deep pink Dion Lee number. The dress, which was slim fitted throughout the bodice, featured a unique fringed hem. Fey paired the dress with a pair of plain black heels.
At the premiere, Fey posed with her costars Martin Freeman and Margot Robbie.
In Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Fey plays real-life reporter Kim Barker. With her personal life falling apart, she takes an assignment as a correspondent in Afghanistan, where she becomes fast friends with the younger but more seasoned Tanya Vanderpoel (Robbie), and ends up in bed with scruffy cameraman Ian MacKelpie (Freeman).
“I feel like I’m way more chicken than Kim. Kim’s more of a badass,” Fey told People magazine. “She was always saying, once you get there, there’s no time to not be brave, you just gotta go along and do anything.”
“I’ve definitely worked in very male environments before, [but] usually, unlike in the book and the movie, it doesn’t really pan out that I become the most desirable woman in the world,” Fey added. “It doesn’t really pan out that way. But that is something I’m sort of used to.”
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot hits theaters March 4.
