The 2018 San Sebastian International Film Festival began on Friday, and Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet was among the dozens of stars in attendance.

The 22-year-old French-American actor and breakout star of Call Me By Your Name was seen posing with Belgian filmmaker Felix Van Groeningen, who directed and co-wrote his latest movie Beautiful Boy.

The biographical drama from Amazon Studios — which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month — is set for an Oct. 12 wide release. It is based on the memoirs Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction (2008) by New York Times best-selling author David Sheff and Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines by Nic Shef. The film is about a father dealing with his young son’s meth addiction.

Steve Carell portrays father David in the film, while Chalamet will play son Nic. The movie also stars Amy Ryan, Maura Tierney and Timothy Hutton. Brad Pitt is one of the movie’s producers.

The San Sebastian Film Festival is set to end on Saturday.
