Gracie McGraw revealed the use of two types of weight-loss drugs – Ozempic and Mounjaro – for her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) treatment.
The 26-year-old daughter of country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill showed off her bikini look in black-and-white photos she posted on Instagram, in which she wears a half-wire white bikini top paired with a checked print bottom, sunbathing on a rooftop.
“It’s a gorgeous day for narcissism!” said the singers’ daughter in the caption.
Gracie’s fit body shape in the post attracted some comments on the celebrity’s favorite weight-loss drug.
The first comment writes, “And Ozempic!”
Gracie responded to this comment directly revealing her medication use as well as her condition.
“I did use Ozempic last year, yes,” she wrote. “I am now on a low dose of Mounjaro for my PCOS as well as working out.”
Mounjaro is a similar weight-loss drug to Ozempic and Wegovy (brands for semaglutide), which treats type 2 diabetes and is popular for its effectiveness on weight loss among celebrities.
Stars like Chelsea Handler and Dolores Catania have openly discussed their use of the drugs.
PCOS, which Gracie right now is battling, is a hormone disorder that can increase type 2 diabetes and is a common cause of female infertility, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
After honestly sharing her personal life with the social media audience, Gracie added, “No need to accuse when I have been open about it.”
The rising singer, who has been following the path of her parents, revealed her diagnosis of PCOS in an Instagram post last year in March 2022.
“I just wanted to share really quick that I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome),” Gracie wrote. She had four out of five characteristics of PCOS – the standard diagnostic criteria only require two.
In addition to the physical difficulties PCOS has brought her, Gracie also mentioned the challenges of her navigating mental health.
“Sending love to those who are struggling with something similar or literally anything at all. Mental health is freaking hard!” she added. “It’s a long road but we can get through it.”
Gracie has two little sisters Maggie, 24, and Audrey, 21.
