The highly publicized marital meltdown between Tiger Woods, 34, and his Swedish wife, Elin Nordegren, 30, has officially come to an end. The couple’s divorce was finalized in Panama City, Florida on Monday. Any monetary arrangements between the two remain undisclosed, though rumors abound that her share could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. One thing remains certain, however – both of their primary concerns are for the kids: 3-year-old daughter Sam and 18-month-old son Charlie.
The couple recognize the challenge that lies ahead for their kids. “The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for [our children] as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern,” the former couple said in a statement. They have worked out a plan to share custody of the children. –KIMBERLY STEELE
