Girls Trip actress Tiffany Haddish is finally becoming the spokesperson for her favorite online service, Groupon.
The star revealed her passion for the website on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and is known for encouraging fellow A-listers to use the site. “Nobody knows Groupon like I know Groupon,” Haddish has said. “I’ve been speaking out for them for years. In fact, I should have already been their spokesperson. I’ve invested lots of money into buying Groupon deals, and it’s about time I got an even bigger return on my investment than just saving money at my favorite local businesses.”
The company even admitted that Haddish ranks in the top 1% of the most frequent purchasers on Groupon. “We’re thrilled to have one of the hottest names in entertainment as our new spokesperson,” said Groupon Chief Marketing Officer Vinayak Hegde. “Tiffany’s award-winning talent and well-known passion for our brand make her the perfect choice to serve as the face of Groupon.”
Haddish will appear in a series of Groupon ads on television, with the first coming during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl on Feb. 4. The 30-second ad will be the first Super Bowl commercial the company has had in seven years.
Haddish made the announcement of her new spokeswoman position in a video published by Groupon. See it below.
