West’s show will be an opera called Mary and will take place Dec. 22 at David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center. It will feature music from his Sunday Service choir. Mary debuted in Miami earlier this month.
The controversial 42-year-old rapper, entrepreneur and ardent supporter of President Donald Trump most recently released his ninth studio album, Jesus Is King, in October. West also recently announced he would run for president in 2024, despite saying after his highly-publicized meeting with Trump in the Oval Office in October 2018 that he planned to take a break from politics.
West had previously released an opera called Nebuchadnezzar that premiered in Los Angeles in November.
The rapper recently opened up to Christian outlet CBN News about Mary, which was reportedly supposed to be called Birth of Jesus originally.

“God put it all together. I’ll tell you what, when I don’t apply grace, I don’t get the results I’m looking for,” said West. “Everything must be done with grace. That’s one of the things I pray for and I need to pray for more.”
It’s clear that West (who now goes by ‘Ye’ in many circles) is striving to become a more spiritual person, and not simply because he considers himself to be a ‘God.’ The rapper evidently believes in a superior being and is thankful that he has given him so much success in life.
Tickets on StubHub for Mary begin as low as $112, so be sure to get yours today before it’s too late!
