The attendees suffered from minor injuries and were seen by medics. They did not require further treatment according to police.

Videos posted to social media show the fireworks exploding from the floor section of the Scotiabank Arena at the end of the show.

Fans outside the arena told CityNews that the crowded stadium quickly emptied after hearing the first fireworks sound. Some people even had burn marks on their shoes and legs.

Fans online say the event’s security was lacking, with some people not getting their bags checked upon entry.

Lipa did not say anything about the unexpected fireworks. Videos online show the “Levitating” singer, 26, looking confused by the commotion.
