‘This Is Us’ Wraps Up Season 5 With Huge Plot Twists [Spoilers]

The hit NBC series This is Us wrapped up its fifth season with a cliffhanger and some plot twists. The family drama revealed the events of Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Madison’s (Caitlin Thompson) wedding. The two characters had twins together after a one-night stand.

On the big day, they both had cold feet; Madison told Kevin to be honest with himself – he liked the idea of being in love with Madison, but in reality, he wasn’t.

The season finale unexpectedly took place in the future; fans thought it was Kevin who was getting ready for his wedding when in reality he was only preparing a speech for Kate’s (Chrissy Metz) wedding. Kate is Kevin’s sister; she was marrying her music teacher boss, Phillip (Chris Geere). Viewers thought Kate was still in a committed long-distance relationship with Toby (Chris Sullivan).

The episode also showed Randal (Sterling K. Brown) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) having a conversation about healing. Randal talked about his trip to New Orleans, which he took to know more about his birth mother.

Another long-distance relationship is anticipated when Malik (Asante Blackk) told Deja (Lyric Ross) that he got into the Ivy League school, Harvard. The episode flash-forwarded to five years later, showing Randal in a national magazine.
