Theo Rossi stars in FX motorcycle gang drama Sons of Anarchy as the tattooed innocent Juice. Sons of Anarchy, created and written by Kurt Sutter, is in its sixth season, with Juice out of the gang’s good graces after crumbling under questioning by the Feds. Rossi discusses what’s next for his character and weighs in on his infamous tattoos in an exclusive interview with Uinterview.
While Rossi, 38, professes to being “OCD” about getting into character, copying any of Juice’s tattoos is out of the question – though he does have eight of his own. “I would never get tattoos on my head,” said Rossi, referring to Juice’s tribal. “I think it would kind of limit me to being Bad Guy Number Three in some kind of prison show that’s coming out.” Rossi would, however, consider getting a tattoo that stretched from the inside of his arms to his chest – if he doesn’t opt to get his tattoos removed altogether. “There’s new technology now that makes it a lot easier than it used to be,” he said.
Fans of Rossi can rest assured that Charlie Hunnam (Jax), who was tapped to play Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, won’t be the only one stripping down this season. Rossi, who shaves his own ever-evolving mohawk to play Juice, will be getting some action and baring it all. “I tweeted recently that there will be naked Juice,” Rossi told Uinterview. “And I got to tell you, there will be naked Juice!”

Rossi, 38, has a fondness for his SOA character that makes it hard for him to name Juice’s worst quality, settling on the gullibility that derives from his innocence. This season, Juice has been catering to Jax’s requests, which Rossi believes is an attempt at redemption, but that he’s trying to be independent at the same time. “He is definitely trying to redeem himself. I think he’s just waiting on his orders and while waiting, he’s also trying to do his own thing,” said Rossi.
“I think this week coming up, we’ll start to see the beginnings of that,” Rossi added. “I think he’s trying to find his place again and I think the big question is, ‘Will he ever be able to?’ And, ‘What kind of things occur, positive and negative, in trying to find his place?’”
Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays on FX at 10/9c.
