The Weinstein Company Owes Money To Malia Obama, Charlie Sheen & Many Others

The Weinstein Company filed for bankruptcy earlier this week, but the financial problems plaguing Harvey Weinstein’s company extend beyond that. A new batch of court documents reveal the company owed money to many famous individuals, and reporters obtained a 300-page list detailing who.

THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY OWES MALIA OBAMA MONEY

Malia Obama, the 19-year-old daughter of Michelle Obama and former United States president Barack Obama, is among the people Weinstein owes money to. Notably, Malia interned for The Weinstein Company back in 2017 prior to when Weinstein’s scandals became known.

Both of Malia’s parents publicly expressed their disapproval of Weinstein’s actions towards women. The former commander in chief issued a statement last October, saying, “Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status. We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories. And we all need to build a culture — including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect — so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future.”

Other creditors listed on the report include Alexis Bledel, Aziz Ansari, Charlie Sheen, Dame Judi Dench, Daniel Radcliffe, Derek Hough, Gloria Allred, Jerry Seinfeld, John Legend, Keira Knightley, Michael Bay and Pierce Brosnan.
