‘The Voice’ Top 10 Results: Korin Bukowski Sent Packing While Braiden Sunshine Saved To Sing Another Day

Last night on The Voice we were treated to two very special guest performances and went from 10 contestants to 9 as the show creeps ever closer to crowning a winner. Judge Adam Levine, accompanied by hip-hop duo R. City, kicked proceedings off with a stellar rendition of their hit collaboration, “Locked Away”, and Sia also took the stage, singing “Alive” while decked out in customary wacky headgear.

‘The Voice’ Top 10 Results: Korin Bukowski Sent Home

Finding themselves in the bottom two this week were two from team Gwen, Korin Bukowski and Braiden Sunshine, and it was up to a Twitter vote to decide who would stay. Bukowski had been in trouble a number of times over the past few weeks and did herself no justice in the showdown with a her rendition of Colbie Caillat‘s “Try.” The young singer allowed nerves to get the better of her, stumbling over lyrics and looking like a deer caught in the headlights. The judges were forgiving in their feedback, however, both Blake and Pharrell reassuring Korin that forgetting lyrics was something they’d had to contend with as well.

Braiden Sunshine sang Maroon 5’s “Harder To Breathe” to save his spot in the competition and while it wasn’t a series 9 highlight by any means, the 15 year-old acquitted himself far better than his opponent did. Braiden was saved and Korin was sent packing.

She showed appreciation for her mentor Gwen and thanked those who had supported her throughout the show. “Thank you so much for everything. You have really made me jump out of my cocoon, as you always like to say,” Korin said, “I am so thankful to you and my fans and followers, and for God putting me on this amazing journey.”

With Korin gone we’re left with the following going into the semi-finals, with each judge in with a chance to win:

Team Adam – Jordan Smith, Amy Vachal, Shelby Brown

Team Blake – Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Zach Seabaugh

Team Gwen – Jeffery Austin, Braiden Sunshine

Team Pharrell – Madi Davis

Dolly Parton will appear next week to perform live and offer the contestants some words of wisdom.
