The blind auditions continue with rivalry between judges and an unlimited amount of talent.

The opening performance, Tamar Davis, used to be in the all-girl group, Girls Tyme, that eventually turned into Destiny’s Child. She sings, “Chain of Fools” and chooses to be a part of Christina Aguilera’s team.

‘The Voice’ Season 10 Episode 4 Recap

Right when Aguilera thinks she has a singer on her team, Blake Shelton turns his chair at the last second. His last second button pushing gained him a few contestants for his team including pop artist Brittney Lawrence and pop/country vocalist Teresa Guidry.

British native Jessica Crosbie sings a rendition of “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. Within the first few seconds, three out of the four judges pressed their button. Aguilera thinks there’s “stuff inside of her that we haven’t heard.” Crosbie joins Pharrell’s team and he tells her she “sang with feeling, that’s the part that can’t be taught.”

Small town Oklahoma-raised Justin Whisnant was given the ultimatum of continuing work or music, he chose music. He sings, “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” as a country singer that he feels is enriched in soul and R&B. His strong voice had Adam Levine and Shelton push their button. Levine doesn’t care about the music genre, he cares about great talent and think Whisnant has it. Levine knew he had the odds against him as both Shelton and Whisnant are from Oklahoma and love country music. He is a new addition to Team Blake.

Daniel Passino aspires to be like Justin Timberlake or Michael Jackson. He chose to sing, “Marvin Gaye” by Charlie Puth. As an addition to Team Christina, she appreciated his diversity within music from him being trained in opera to his soulful tone.

Owen Danoff sings a rendition of “Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright” by Bob Dylan. The musical talent stems from his family with his dad being a part of the Grammy-winning Starland Vocal Band. His passionate song choice resulted in a four-chair turn. Aguilera said he was “so involved with what he was doing and so meaningful.” He joins Team Adam for his similar music background.

Maya Smith is an addition to Team Pharrell as she sang, “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man.” Pharrell said she has the soul, range and control.

Matt Tedder sang “(I’m Your) Hoochie Coochie Man” to portray his love for the blues. Levine turns his chair and gets another addition to his team.

The last contestant of the night, Joe Maye, performs “I Put A Spell On You.” Shelton sneaks in at the last moment and hopes to steal him from Aguilera. After Aguilera admitted it was her favorite song, she gets on stage with him and sings a duet to seal the deal and shut the house down. After the unstoppable performance, he chooses Team Christina.
