‘The Voice’ Season 10 Episode 11: Tamar Davis “Slays” The Stage
3.5/5
The knockout rounds continue on night two where performers are competing for a spot in the live show.
Miley Cyrus is the key adviser for the teams and assists in the critical choices that are made for each performance in these knockout rounds.
Blake Shelton is the only coach who still has their one steal left in this round.
Shelton pairs Adam Wakefield and Peyton Parker from his team. Wakefield sings Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home To Me” mixing his country roots with powerful soul. Parker sings “Travelin’ Soldier” by Dixie Chicks in hope to tell a story. Her voice cracks but the judges can agree that it was probably part of the emotion. Shelton can’t deny Wakefield’s talent and brings him to the next round.
Coach Pharrell Williams selects Moushumi and Nick Hagelin to duel in the knockout round. Moushumi sings Halsey’s “New Americana” and tries to bring a new sound to the record. Hagelin picks a perfect song choice for his falsetto, “Lost Without U.” Williams chooses Moushumi to move forward on his team and believes there’s no one else like her.
Christina Aguilera brought the showstoppers from her team to this episode. Maya Smith performs “No One” where she changes it up and moves around the stage. Tamar Davis recreates Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” almost as if it were her own track. Davis’ performance had Williams on his feet.
“You didn’t just sing that song, you murdered that song,” Aguilera said to Davis.
Aguilera sends Davis to represent her team in the next round.
The knockout rounds finish next Monday and Tuesday 8/7c on NBC.
