The Voice continues from last week with The Knockouts Part 3. Something new is introduced to the show this time and the each teammate will be pitted against one another performing their own individual song. The coaches, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will be accompanied by Grammy Award-winning artist Rihanna as guest coach.

‘The Voice’ Recap

The first up is Team Adam which is James Dupre versus Shelby Brown. Shelby chooses “Jesus Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood, but is one-upped by James who chooses to perform “Sure Be Cool If You Did,” a song by Blake Shelton. Obviously shooting to flatter the judge, he gets through the bold performance with approval from Shelton, but the judges go with Brown.

Team Pharrell went next with Siahna Im and Mark Hood. Mark is elated to meet Rihanna and is to perform “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. Siahna sings “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse and is praised for her old school style. However, it isn’t enough to out-match Mark’s showmanship and she goes home.

Team Gwen went with Jeffery Austin and Kota Wade. Jeffery chooses to perform “Turning Tables” by Adele and Kota performs “Barracuda” by Ann and Nancy Wilson. Kota receives praise from the coaches, but gets the hang of the song a little late, whereas Jeffery performs his song perfectly. Gwen goes with Jeffery.

Nadjah Nicole and Emily Ann Roberts from Team Blake go next. Nadjah performs “A Woman’s Worth” by Alicia Keys and Emily sings “Cowboy, Take Me Away” by the Dixie Chicks. They both perform well, but Emily wins out with Blake on account of the fact that she has staying power.

It’s Team Pharrell’s turn again and Evan McKeel and Tim Atlas compete. Evan does “Dare You to Move” by Switchfoot and Tim does “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia. Evan is the choice of the judges.

Team Gwen is back with Regina Love and Riley Biederer. Regina goes first and sings Gladys Knight’s “Midnight Train to Georgia” and impresses Rihanna with her perfomance. Riley chooses “XO” by Beyonce. Gwen is torn between the two, but finally decides on Regina.

The Voice airs Mondays on NBC.
