‘The Shannara Chronicles’ Preimere Kicks Off New Series

MTV has decided to release their adaption of The Shannara Chronicles.  MTV is jumping on the mystical bandwagon and its no surprise considering the success of Game of Thrones and The Expanse. The first episode premiered this week with an introduction to the world of the Chronicles. The show is an adaptation of The Sword of Shannara Trilogy books by Terry Brooks.

The hour-long show was dedicated to introducing the characters, the plot, and the climax while keeping the attention span of their viewers.

The episode starts off with the Ellcrys tree holding back a horde of demons in a post-human future/fantasy world along with beautiful shots of New Zealand that channel the inner Lord of the Rings fan. MTV also accommodated binge watchers by posting the first four episodes on their website.
