'The Real' Host Tamera Mowry-Housley
The Real co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley announced that she will be leaving the show in an Instagram post. She said, “all good things must come to an end.”
The statement read, “For seven years, my home and heart has been at The Real. The friendships that I’ve made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I’ve had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better.”
She goes on, “However, all good things must come to an end, and it’s been with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving from The Real. To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching be, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever. I’ll be rooting for you as I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life.”
In the caption, Mowry-Housley wrote, “I had NO intention to talk about this today, especially in light of the news of my dear friend Naya, but now some reports are coming out and I’d rather you hear it from me first,” in reference to Glee star Naya Rivera, whose body has been found in a lake in California after going missing days prior.
Mowry-Housley married former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley in 2011. The couple shares two children together named Aden and Ariah. In 2013, Mowry-Housley became a host on The Real and joined Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamar Braxton. The Real won the NAACP Image Award for best talk series two years in a row and won a Daytime Emmy in 2018 for best talk show host.
