Actor and model Rob Wilson, 24, is making history this week by becoming the first male model to showcase prizes on The Price Is Right, hosted by Drew Carey, in its 40-year run.
Wilson beat out hundreds of other runners-up in the CBS male model search for his one-week (for now) stint on CBS's The Price Is Right. "It's been really exciting," he told People. "I've been getting calls all morning."
While the gig is not a permanent position to begin with, Wilson is happy to have the exposure. "As long as the people love it and people want to see more of me on the show [I would stay]," he said. "But as an actor this is just a great opportunity."
Rob made it to the final round of 26 contestants who had to compete in challenges on the show for the top spot. "I used my East Coast hip-hop background to freestyle for 30 seconds and they liked it. It kind of felt a little weird – a little goofy – but it got the job done," he said.
Wilson has appeared in Bride Wars and Secret Life of An American Teenager.
